The Anti-modernity is often regarded as the total opposite to modernity due to the retrograde social order with political, economic dominance of feudal of post-feudal elites, conservative mindset, religious fanaticism, the absence of human rights and secularism (Giddens, 1998). Anti-modern is a way of viewing the world. It does not mean that you are a Luddite without an i-Phone, or that you live alone in a cabin deep in the woods. It just means that you question whether progress, as defined by Modernity, is actually progress. But you are also the kind of person that refuses the chaos and meaninglessness that Post Modernism is both a philosophical movement and an art movement that arose from broad transformations in Western society during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The movement reflected a desire for the creation of new forms of art, philosophy, and social organization which reflected the newly emerging industrial world, including features such as urbanization, new technologies, and war.
