Our traditional Level 1 is best suited for those who want to be mobile in the backcountry. This course is most effectively taught in 3 full consecutive days, meeting the AIARE 24hr. requirement. If you ski, board or snowshoe in avalanche terrain this 24-hour standardized school will educate you about how to make decisions while in avalanche terrain, read and understand the CAIC daily avalanche report, recognize terrain while in the field. The AIARE Framework is a step by step backcountry risk management process made of daily and seasonal routines and agreements that foster consensus with your partners. The AIARE Framework also supports your continued learning with a process that helps you continue to build experience after your course. Inclusions: AIARE Level 1 Course Manual, AIARE Field Book, AIARE Level 1 certificate upon successful completion of course. Exclusions: Lodging, food, avalanche safety gear, backcountry touring gear.
